Bill Sali Speaks the Truth to Pelosi's Power

Congressman Bill Sali, the most stalwart defender of American values in the godless Democrat-controlled Congress, is once again standing up to Pelosi and her plan to destroy America through demanding Hindu prayers in the Senate and ordering the election of Muslims to the House.

In a recent radio interview, Congressman Bill Sali spoke out against the dangerous precedent of allowing a non-Christian into Congress in any capacity.

"Last month, the U.S. Senate was opened for the first time ever with a Hindu prayer. Although the event generated little outrage on Capitol Hill, Representative Bill Sali (R-Idaho) is one member of Congress who believes the prayer should have never been allowed.
"We have not only a Hindu prayer being offered in the Senate, we have a Muslim member of the House of Representatives now, Keith Ellison from Minnesota. Those are changes -- and they are not what was envisioned by the Founding Fathers," asserts Sali.
Sali says America was built on Christian principles that were derived from scripture. He also says the only way the United States has been allowed to exist in a world that is so hostile to Christian principles is through "the protective hand of God."
"You know, the Lord can cause the rain to fall on the just and the unjust alike," says the Idaho Republican.
According to Congressman Sali, the only way the U.S. can continue to survive is under that protective hand of God. He states when a Hindu prayer is offered, "that's a different god" and that it "creates problems for the longevity of this country."

Congressman Sali started standing up for God and America when he refused to take the oath of office on the Koran. Now, as Bryan Fischer of the Idaho Values Alliance points out, Hindus and Muslims really don't fit in with America.

"Hindus believe in a virtually infinite number of gods and worship cows, monkeys and snakes, while our Founding Fathers believed in one God, the Creator God revealed in the Old and New Testaments.
We pledge allegiance to “one nation under God,” not to “one nation under gods.” Quite simply, Hindus, who of course are free in America to worship as many gods and animals as they would like, do not pray to or worship the God who is enshrined in our Declaration of Independence.
Rep. Sali recognizes that congressional invocations are not just ceremonial in nature, but substantive. They are one of the crucial ways in which our leaders seek the favor of the same God who granted us such signal blessings at the time of our founding and for over 200 years since.
And Congressman Sali’s caution with regard to Islam and public policy is wise. When you examine nations whose public institutions have been shaped by Islamic politicians, you find no freedom of religion, no freedom of speech, no freedom of conscience, no fundamental rights for women, and no freedom for ordinary citizens to choose their leaders."

While there are those anti-Sali socialists who believe that the Constitution contains some sort of prohibition on a "religious test", it's clear that the Founding Fathers believed that only Christians of northern European descent should serve in Congress. If we fall into Pelosi's trap of accepting Muslims in Congress, pretty soon we'll have lots of people who don't believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ in the House or even the Senate -- and then where will we be? Congressman Sali points out that only the protective hand of God protects us; those who believe we're protected by wide oceans and a strong military are just fooling themselves. After all, how long have Hindu and Muslim countries like India and Saudi Arabia been able to survive without God's protection?

So why are you afraid of anyone but christians? No religion but my religion. Sound familiar? I don't fear those that are different from me. Why do you?

"After all, how long have Hindu and Muslim countries like India and Saudi Arabia been able to survive without God's protection?"

Uhhh, how about 5000 years?

You are so ill informed it is funny.
Our country only a few hundred years old, thiers thousands of years old. Muslims believe in one Gos and in Jesus. It all doesn't really matter. The bigotry and racism is the real problem. Get educated and become part of the solution not the problem.

I wondered how long until Sali would do something this stupid, and make Idaho look bad again. We just barely got rid of Richard Butler and the Arian Nation, then the religious right sends this nutcase onto the national stage.

Creeping American fascism.

Would he want to get rid of Jewish members of the House??? The U.S. was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs. The early settlers wanted Hebrew to be the language of the New World. They envisioned themselves like the Children of Israel escaping oppression to freedom.

Sali believes that everyone in the House and the Senate should believe in Jesus Christ???What about the atheists and Jews in the House and the Senate!! His is a religious statement! Read about Thomas Jefferson's religious beliefs!

I meant to write 'ridiculous statement.'

Well I tell ya, I've always been suspicious of this Jesus fella. Did you ever notice how he's always talking about helping poor people? Sounds like a socialist agitator to me. I hope Bill has the guts to stand up to Jesus and his socialist agenda.

I think Bill Sali was sent by God. Bill Sali is the only man with enough political courage and wisdom to reinstate biblical justice, as mandated by the bible, as God intended.

Deuteronomy, Chapter 17:2-3,5:

If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant, And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; ... Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

Biblical justice is the only answer. But we're going to need a lot of rocks.

"We're going to need a lot of rocks." The phrase "eye for an eye; tooth for a tooth" was reinterpreted by the rabbis to mean monetary compensation. Thus, the posuk you mentioned in Deuteronomy was also probably - either reinterpreted or ignored altogether. As opposed to Muslims, Jewish law emphasizes the lenient approach - the School of Hillel as opposed to the School of Shamai.

Chaya, you sound like you know your bible. I have a question for you. In one of Sali's recent comments, he says "You know, the Lord can cause the rain to fall on the just and the unjust alike". The context of his comments suggests that "rain" means punishment. He is using this phrase to suggest that righteous Americans will be punished because Minnesota committed the sin of electing a Muslim to public office.

Here's a little more context, from Bill's favorite book:

‘You have heard that it was said, “You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.” But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax-collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Now, I'm no biblical scholar, but it seems to me that the "sends rain" phrase in this context is a blessing of sorts, a way of saying 'we are all God's children'. Isn't the message of this passage one of acceptance and inclusion?

It seems to me that Sali is either too dimwitted or lazy to understand the bible, or he is twisting the Lord's word to fit his political agenda.

Dimwitted? Dishonest? Have to toss a coin on that one.

I am no scholar. Far from it. I just feel he is going against what I grew up to believe the U.S. stood for. Not that I support Pelosi!! Bill Sali I would put on the extreme right with Pelosi on the extreme left.

Well look out, because Pelosi has hatched a new takeover plan. She is at this moment drafting a bill which will make it legal for two consenting adults to have sexual relations in public restroom stalls. This bill will effectively silence Republican legislators, because it's hard to talk when you have some guy's junk in your mouth.

Well I'm glad to see from your comments section that I'm not the only one that thinks you're a fucking nutcase.

Nowhere in the first article you linked did it say that Pelosi (her name wasn't even mentioned) "DEMANDED" Hindu prayers, and your second link to CNN is dead. Sooooo not sure what you want us to go on but I'm pretty sure you're another religious right zealot fuck out to destroy the country. Don't stand behind the founding fathers, you have no fucking idea what this country's about if you think we've been moving in the right direction.

It's unbelievable! This is what it has come to on the right. People like Sali are proving that it has been the Republican Party that has caused the partisan divide we see in America today. The founding fathers would be rolling over in their graves and it wouldn't be because there are Muslims in congress. It would be because the freedoms they fought and died to give us are being usurped by a minority of bigots and racists.
